Cacao Ceremony

I had the pleasure of hosting a Cacao Ceremony yesterday and boy is there

Medicine in Tribe

We performed many rituals together including sage cleansing, welcome intentions, consuming the sacred cacao (with a hint of flavour from essential oils), sharing, embodiment through movement and meditation.
Plus so many other juicy things that women talk about when they get together!

If you have not heard of a cacao ceremony before, here are some interesting facts:
- It is not a hot chocolate (cocoa). In fact it is an organically sourced cacao plant native to Peru, that is grown naturally without human interaction.
- What makes it ceremonial is the intention that goes into making it. Pure cacao is made from roasted and ground whole shelled cacao beans.
- The intention while making the drink is just as important as how it is sourced. Bringing a loving energy and intent to connect with mother nature while you sip.
- Drinking cacao can take you deeper into mediation and connection to source, and connection to the people who you sit in circle with.
- The ceremony is a sacred tradition used for over 5,000 years. Traditionally performed by a Shaman, a tribal healer, using the spirit of the chocolate to deliver ritual in groups.

Such a beautiful way to connect with self and hear those soul whispers. While feeling the support of your sisters in circle.
That's the medicine of tribe.
