Dear Diary

Dear Diary,

.

It has been just over a week with the kids at home from school and kinder since they closed. The daily demands of being in isolation is full on. The amount of times I have heard ‘mum’ is unbelievable.

.

Already my self-care practices are taking a back seat, which eventually is going to take its toll on me and the whole family. However, I am aware and therefore can start to put new rituals into place.

.

I am struggling the most with no silence, my nervous system needs quiet so it can calm down and be grounded.

.

On the flip side. I have loved watching my kids spend time with each other, and really come to rely on one another for a play mate. Its not all roses of course, there are arguments, but at the end of the day they are friends.

.

Generally both children seem quiet calm and happy, and are loving the extra time spent with me. I truly believe it is bringing us closer together.

.

Note to self; make sure you create that time you need for quiet space and self reflection.
